Process Guidelines

DO BEFORE ANYTHING ELSE: Follow all guidelines in Guidelines/memory-consolidation-guidelines.md

Process

1. Read Curated-Context/System/memory-index.md to find the last update date
2. Read Curated-Context/System/corrections.md for pending corrections
3. List all subdirectories in Curated-Context/
4. Exclude the following directories from scanning:
   • .obsidian/ (Obsidian system directory)
   • .smart-env/ (Smart Connections plugin data)
5. Also check Raw-Materials/Session-Extracts/ for unprocessed session extracts (these are pre-mapped to memory files via their kind: session-extract frontmatter and section headings)
6. Filter for files with dates on or after the last-updated date

Output

Create a new dated directory Memory/YYYYMMDD-memory-update/ (the suffix MUST be -memory-update, NOT -memory-scan) containing:

scan-manifest.md - List of new files found, organised by:

• Directory (what was found where)
• Memory topic mapping to THREE files:
  • People/dynamics/relationships → memory-people.md
  • Project/technical/delivery → memory-work.md
  • Strategic/commercial/organisational → memory-context.md
• Pending corrections from corrections.md (include in manifest)
• Session extracts found (note: these are supplementary context, lower confidence than meeting summaries or documents)

Important

• Write the COMPLETE manifest in a SINGLE operation
• DO NOT proceed to the next phase automatically
• Inform user to run /memory-update next
