Unified Search Skill
Deprecated: This skill was replaced in v6 by the
searchdomain commands (/wicked-garden:search:code,/wicked-garden:search:docs,/wicked-garden:search:blast-radius). Use those commands instead.

When to Use Each Command
User asks about code
Use /wicked-garden:search:code for:
- "Find the UserService class"

Architecture
All search commands query the knowledge graph via the wicked-brain server. The brain must be running for search to function — it auto-starts via the brain lifecycle hooks.
Graph Analysis
Advanced traversal, hotspot detection, and multi-project isolation are available when wicked-brain is installed. See refs/graph-analysis.md for the full API reference including traverse, hotspots, and project-scoped queries.
Cross-Reference Detection
The indexer automatically detects when documents mention code symbols:
- CamelCase:
AuthService,UserRepository - snake_case:
authenticate_user,get_user_by_id - Backtick quoted:
`my_function` - Function calls:
process_data()
These create "documents" edges in the graph, linking doc sections to code.
Tips
- Index first: Always run
/wicked-garden:search:indexbefore searching - Be specific: More specific queries = better results
- Check cross-refs: Use
/refsto discover code-doc relationships - Use hotspots: Find high-coupling symbols that are change-risk candidates
- Use traverse: Understand a symbol's neighborhood before refactoring
