Use this skill when the user:
Recruiter search is boolean over titles, headlines, and skills: ("SDET" OR "QA Automation") AND (Playwright OR Cypress) AND TypeScript. Profiles win by containing the literal tokens, in the fields the search weights: current title, headline, and Skills.
Consequence: a clever headline loses to a token-bearing one.
| Headline | What happens | |---|---| | "Breaking software so users don't have to 🐛" | Zero token matches; invisible to every boolean search | | "SDET | Playwright, TypeScript, API Automation | CI/CD" | Matches the three most common QA search patterns | | "QA Engineer -> helping teams ship quality" | Matches only "QA Engineer", the most crowded token |
Formula: [Target title] | [Top 2-3 tools] | [Specialty]. Use the title you want next, provided your experience honestly supports it.
LinkedIn allows dozens of skills; search weights the pinned top three heavily.
Four short paragraphs, first person, tokens woven in naturally:
Recruiters read About only after a search hit; its job is converting the view into a message, so end with the ask.
Do not paste the resume. Two to three lines per role: scope, stack, one outcome. Add media where it exists (dashboard screenshot, conference talk). Critically: make current and previous titles token-accurate; if your internal title was "Engineer II" but the work was SDET, write "Engineer II (SDET, Test Automation)"; the parenthetical is searchable and honest.
Pin, in order:
Three items maximum; a curated shelf reads as a professional exhibit, a dumping ground reads as clutter.
One post or thoughtful comment weekly is enough. Formats that perform for QA voices:
Skip engagement-bait and reposted motivational content; hiring managers screen your last ten posts, and the goal is "this person clearly does the work".
The single highest-leverage edit for most QA profiles: adding "Playwright" (with real experience behind it) to headline and pinned skills, because search volume has shifted there while most profiles still say only Selenium. And keep AI-testing tokens honest: "LLM testing", "AI test automation" and similar draw fast-growing recruiter interest, but only add them with a demonstrable artifact (an eval suite, an agent-testing writeup) in Featured to back the claim.
