Social Media Content Generator
Create social media posts for Twitter/X and LinkedIn that promote the startup. Posts use the brand voice, are adapted per platform norms, and follow a consistent publishing cadence.
Workflow
1. Establish Voice and Visual Identity
Read SOUL.md and brand guidelines to determine voice, tone, and visual identity. All posts must reflect the documented brand personality.
2. Identify Post Topics
Source topics from:
- Product announcements and feature launches
- Blog posts (repurpose key insights)
- Tips and how-to content
- Behind-the-scenes / team stories
- User stories and testimonials
3. Draft Platform-Adapted Posts
Adapt each post to the target platform:
Twitter/X: Concise, casual tone. Under 280 characters for single tweets. Use threads (5 tweets max) for longer-form content like architecture breakdowns or feature deep-dives. Include relevant hashtags and mentions.
LinkedIn: Professional, detailed tone. Three-paragraph structure works well for announcements. Include a call to action and link to the blog post or product page.
Never copy-paste identical content across platforms. Each post should feel native to its platform.
4. Schedule and Publish
Maintain a consistent cadence (e.g., 3 posts per week per platform). Vary post types across the week to keep the feed diverse.
5. Track and Analyze
Track engagement metrics per post: likes, reposts, replies, impressions. Identify best-performing post formats and topics to inform future content. Summarize social performance metrics for investor updates.
Post Quality Standards
Every post must include:
- A clear call to action (try, read, reply, share)
- At least one link back to the product, blog, or docs
- Platform-appropriate hashtags or mentions
Anti-Patterns
- Identical post copy-pasted to both Twitter/X and LinkedIn with no adaptation
- Posts with no call to action, hashtags, or link back to the product
- Sporadic posting with no consistent cadence or scheduling
- Overly promotional tone that ignores the brand voice guidelines
